Terms and conditions

1. Who provides the service
Humahuaca Travel brings together the tours run by local drivers from Humahuaca, with vehicles and drivers licensed by the municipality and with insurance that covers passengers, as the municipality requires. Tatiana arranges and confirms the bookings.
Humahuaca Travel is not a travel agency: it is a proposal of local tours, arranged from Humahuaca, Jujuy.
2. What this site is
It is a showcase of the experiences Humahuaca Travel offers and a way to request a tour before arriving in Humahuaca. The descriptions are for guidance.
3. Request and confirmation
Completing the booking assistant creates a request: it is not a confirmed booking. The tour is booked once Tatiana confirms it by WhatsApp.
4. Prices, schedules and duration
The price, departure time and duration of each tour appear on its page and in the list of tours on the home page. Tatiana confirms them when she arranges your booking, and they may change. Prices are expressed in Argentine pesos.
On the Hornocal tour, the price does not include the community toll ($2.000 per person), which is paid on arrival.
5. Payments, changes and cancellations
To book the Salinas Grandes and Iruya tours, Tatiana asks for the full name and ID or passport number of each passenger and a 50% deposit. The remaining payment terms are agreed with Tatiana when your booking is confirmed.
How to pay. This site does not charge online yet. Once Tatiana confirms your booking she tells you the deposit amount, and you pay it by bank transfer to one of these accounts: Mercado Pago, alias Humahuaca.travel (in the name of Tatiana Nayra del Milagro Cabana), or bank account, alias Maximotour (in the name of Flores Gloria Selva). Gloria is Tatiana's mom and is part of the Humahuaca Travel team. If in doubt, ask Tatiana before transferring. If you are paying from outside Argentina, tell Tatiana on WhatsApp and she'll let you know the options available.
Bad weather. The deposit is not refunded if the tour cannot be done because of bad weather or closed roads: it is rescheduled for another date.
6. Meeting point
We meet at the Humahuaca Bus Terminal, Office 5. That place is only the meeting point: your contract is with Humahuaca Travel.
7. Tour conditions
Tours take place at altitude and in changing weather. Follow your guide's instructions, tell them if you don't feel well and bring suitable clothing. If weather or road conditions don't allow it, the tour is rescheduled for another date (see point 5).
8. Site content
The Humahuaca Travel brand, logo and alpaca character, as well as the site's texts and design, may not be used without permission. Some photographs on the site are samples and will be replaced with our own images.
9. Personal data
How your data is processed is explained in the privacy policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version.
