Tour from Humahuaca
Iruya tour from Humahuaca
An all-day tour: you leave Humahuaca at 8:00, cross the Abra del Cóndor pass (4,000 m above sea level, the border between Jujuy and Salta) and reach the village of Iruya, with lunch there and the return in the afternoon.

What it's about
Iruya is a full-day tour. You leave Humahuaca at 8:00 in a 4x4 pickup (4 to 6 people at most). The trip there takes about 2.5 hours, and the return trip about 2 hours.
Along the way you pass the Cardón Abuelo (a giant cactus) and the oldest churqui tree in the Quebrada, the little town of Iturbe (which was the main railway station), the Abra del Cóndor pass, 4,000 meters above sea level, which marks the border between Jujuy and Salta, and the Quebrada Honda and Colanzulí viewpoint, an area of Andean potato growers. A tunnel tells you you're arriving in Iruya.
Once in the village of Iruya you visit the church, the viewpoints, La Cruz and the viewpoint where you take the postcard photo of the village. You have lunch there and in the afternoon you head back to Humahuaca.
To book we need the full name and the ID or passport number of each passenger, and a 50% deposit.
